Come on out for a mountain bike ride in scenic PenasquitosCanyon!Intermediate to Advanced riders will do a fast paced 15+ mile course consisting of fireroads, single tracks and some steep climbs and descents.We periodically ride other routes including a 20+ mile ride that extends east of Poway. We start riding from the east end of the canyon at 5:45 PM. To stay informed about the weekly ride you can join the MTB email list by contacting Dave Krosch.
Begining in October you will need a bike light in order to complete the ride.We also recommend a second light, something as simple as an LED light as backup.The winter rides happen every week except for rain so check with the contacts below to verify if we are riding.
Meet in the parking lot at the east end of Penasquitos canyon. See map below. Be ready to ride at the designated time. Bring fluids, spare tube and air pump. Good Health Insurance recommended. Post ride refreshments.

EAST PARKING LOT
From the 15 take the Mercy Road/Scripps Poway Exit and head west for one mile.Turn right at Black Mountain Road and proceed 1/2 mile.Turn left at the recreation fields and proceed for approximately 1/4 mile to parking lot.
From the 56 take the Black Mountain Road Exit and head south about 1/2 mile.Turn right at the Cayonside park recreation fields and proceed for approximately 1/2 mile to the far west parking lot.
