Amy has been a proud member of LATC since 2002.   She got into triathlons by accident-a friend was training for her first (and only) Ironman and asked Amy to join in the training.  She was then lured into jumping in to compete in the race as well… and she was hooked.  The rest is history.  Since then Amy has completed 15 Ironmans and counting; numerous triathlons of other distances; and a multitude of marathons.  In 2007 she ran her first 50 mile trail race and since then has completed countless ultra marathons ranging from 50K to 100 milers!  You can usually find Amy running the trails in the Santa Monica mountains most weekends.  As of Summer 2015, Amy is currently in her last semester of an RN program and hopes to use her medical knowledge both inside hospitals as well as onsite at triathlons and ultra marathons.  Both her husband and grown daughter have also been members of LATC, and although their interests took them elsewhere, they both are more than proud to be part of the crew!!
