Come get your run on, or at least earn your evenings beverages!

For anyone that wants to get in a final race for 2009, we invite you down for the first ever "Y2K When You Can 10K" race on December 31st, 2009 at 2pm. This will be a 5k or a 10k distance for anyone wanting to participate. Racers will begin out on the jetty at the end of Old Sea World Drive (just off Quivira Ct. at the end of Quivira Way in South Mission Beach along the San Diego River).

We have some great t-shirts donated by Tristan and Phaedra from the Timex multi-sport team for the first 70 finishers (so that pretty much means everyone and their aunt will get one!). The race will also be timed so remember to bring your chips.

Andy Concors will also be hosting the last youth duathlon of the year at 1pm in the same location.  You can find more information at http://www.triclubsandiego.org/index.php?option=com_jumi&fileid=2&Itemid=192

After the race, there is a nice grass area by the start and finish line. We encourage anyone participating to bring down food and drinks for a post race celebration before everyone's evening festivities begin. This is really just a way for us race planners to get a free meal but we like to think everyone benefits.

Like all of our events, help from volunteers would be extremely appreciated to work the aid station, sign people in, and record times.
