Winter Track Workout

We are excited to announce a new winter running program open to TCSD members of all abilities at no cost. The workout will take place on Wednesday nights and provide a great way to keep your speed intact until our regular track program coached by Jim Vance starts up again in the Spring.

Beginning Wednesday November 3rd we will gather at UCSD's all-weather, lighted track for a one hour workout coached by Tom Piszkin--current UCSD Masters Triathlon coach (and formerly TCSD's running coach from 1987-1999).

The workouts will start promptly at 6 pm with 15 minutes of form and speed coordination drills, followed by a 30 minute main set and finishing with 15 minutes of warm down and stretching. Lockers and bathrooms will be open during the workout.

Limited metered parking is available on campus. A 2 hour parking permit is $2 available from a vending machine across the street from the track. Free parking at the Torrey Pines Glider Port affords a nice half-mile warmup jog to the track.
