The Triathlon Club of San Diego offers an extensive swim program to help everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes. The core of our program are weekly coached workouts in the pool. These workouts are split into two groups. The first group concentrates on stroke technique and mechanics. This is the best place to start if you are new to swimming or don’t feel very comfortable in the water. This group uses drills and individual instruction to help you learn the basic mechanics of swimming. It’s also a good place to go to brush up on your stroke. Everyone can benefit from a second set of eyes evaluating their stroke. The second pool group swims a traditional drill set workout. Speed and distance vary, but the usual workout is 2000-2500 meters.
