Carlos Moleda was a Navy SEAL who was paralyzed from the waist down in Panama in 1989 when his platoon was ambushed and he was shot in the back. Carlos eventually moved into handcycling and triathlon and won the Ironman World Championship five times in his amazing career. He joined us for our Tri Club of San Diego meeting and at the end of the meeting he received his Ironman Hall of Fame trophy from Ironman founders John and Judy Collins, Mike Reilly, and me!
