Ann Leath

Please join me for parts of a conversation I had with long time Triathlon Club of San Diego member Ann Leath.  Ann has succeeded at every multi-sport distance and done it with class while really giving back to the sport.

Mike Plumb

I had the chance to talk triathlon recently with Mike Plumb, one of the All Stars in the Triathlon Club of San Diego's powerful men's 40-44 age category.  You will enjoy getting to know this awesome athlete and one of the most significant contributors to triathlon in the San Diego area.

I had the chance to meet Patrick Baldwin during Ironman week in Kona back in October.  He’s a great guy and a great triathlete as he broke the 10-hour mark in his first ever Ironman race.  I think you’ll agree that Patrick’s motivation and class is as admirable as anyone in our sport.  I hope you enjoy some excerpts from our conversation.

Sean Boyle posted a time of 9:44:27 at Ironman Hawaii on 10/18/03 becoming the undisputed Ironman World Champion of the Triathlon Club of San Diego.  Amidst other interviews, sponsorship deals, photo shoots and time with his fan club, I talked Ironman with Sean.  Please take a moment and enjoy getting to know our very own World Champion.

I had the chance to talk Ironman recently with TCSD member, Mike Ortiz who qualified for the Hawaiian Ironman at Ironman Canada by placing 16th out of 283 men in the 40-44 age group.  Mike’s time was 10:17:50.

Birgit
I got to talk with Birgit Prigge about Ironman and triathlon.  Birgit qualified for Kona at Ironman Germany with a time of 11:01:49.  She has come a long way in the sport all the way to the World Championship.  I remember doing a 100-mile training ride with Birgit in 2001 where halfway she fell in a stream crossing, but finished the final 50 miles.  Even Lance Armstrong would have fallen on this slippery, algae covered road.  This woman is determined!
