Team Zoot Training Camp
Team Zoot is opening registration to their training camp to TCSD members! See info below:
Email info@triclubsandiego.org for pdf of detailed schedule.
WHERE: Carpinteria State Beach Camp Ground, Carpinteria CA
WHEN: June 16th- 19th 2022
ACCOMMODATIONS: Tent camping in group campsites
WHO IS INVITED: Team Zoot/TCSD members AND their families. Since “it takes a village” the support staff and family members of Team Zoot athletes are invited. The idea is, while the Tri people are off training, the support members and kids have a fun group to take in all that the beach campground has to offer amongst a like-minded group of people.
Judi Carbury - USAT Volunteer of the Year
Big shout out to our very own Judi Carbary who was selected as the USAT 2021
Volunteer of the Year. As stated in the award, “This award recognizes an
individual or organization whose volunteer leadership in the Multisport
movement has been transformative and who has mobilized and unified athletes,
programs, and organizations that improve the events, youths, or others
affiliated with the sport.” We know Judi locally for her support of Splash
and Dash for kids. What you might not know is that she is very active
running the Official USAT Multisport Committee FB page, as well as being a
very engaged member of that committee as well as Team USA.
Here’s what Dave Lasorsa, Chair of the USAT Multisport Committee had to say:
I can think of no other volunteer who fits this description better. Judi,
through her work with the “Splash and Dash” series, has long introduced a
number of youths to Multisport in S. California. More recently, her work as
the founder and administrator of the USAT Multisport Committee Facebook Page
has promoted all disciplines of Multisport and served as a center where
athletes can find the latest, accurate information for races, National and
World events, and Team USA-related issues. She has personally organized a
number of Town Halls where athletes can interact directly with Race
Directors. Every day, she fields dozens of questions from athletes, and
finds answers from appropriate USAT staff, saving these staff multiple
queries. Her boundless energy makes her a true “endurance athlete.”
Congratulations Judi on a well-deserved award!

Welcome to the New Home of TCSD!
It's been a long road to get here, but we're pleased to welcome you to the new home of the Triathlon Club of San Diego!!!
The plan at the outset was to design a website that becomes the core of TCSD. A "go to" to connect, engage and find information for workouts, training, calendars, coaching, other members, discounts, etc. It had to be intuitive to navigate and user-friendly.
With the launch of our new TCSD website, we have included what we think are the most popular features of our old website with a new look and feel:
- A robust member "dashboard" which includes features only available to logged in members
- An easy way to find sponsor and race discounts (and to post tri equipment for sale)
- Searchable member database (you choose what you want other members to see)
- Enhanced ecommerce site (selling TCSD buffs but looking for a volunteer to manage our e-store!)
- Enhanced calendar with TCSD workouts and races, socials, volunteer opportunities and "meet-ups", a way for members to invite other members to their own workouts
- New training section, with links to useful tools and information, especially for newbies
Before we (the TCSD Board) pat ourselves on the back, we realize there is still work to be done. This is just the beginning framework; there is much more to be added in the weeks and months ahead. As resources allow, we will roll out new features. If you have any suggestions, please email us at info@triclubsandiego.org.
And as you may expect, there are probably a few bugs we missed. If you find anything like links that don't work or misspellings , please send an email to info@triclubsandiego.org with the details of what you encountered, a copy of the URL that you were on when you encountered the bug, and what computer/operating system/browser you are using.
In case you are wondering what has happened to the content on our old website, rest assured the data will be migrated to the new site in due time. We just had to prioritize things that members would need right away, like the calendar and discounts.
Thanks to everyone who has helped in the development of our new website! A special thanks goes out to the TCSD board and our web developer for working with us patiently and professionally to build this new website.
Thanks to everyone for your continued support of TCSD.

TCSD workouts are back!!! (TEST)
TCSD is happy to announce that our weekly workouts will be officially re-starting the week of March 15, 2021! With that being said, we would like to stress that the following guidelines are still in place and some workouts have additional ones that MUST be followed!
- Workout participants are required to wear and use adequate face coverings whenever possible as described by current local requirements.
- Workout participants are encouraged to maintain physical distancing requirements (aka 6 feet or greater) whenever possible.
- Workout participants may be divided into smaller groups (suggestion 6 or less) if needed to comply with current group size requirements.
- Workout participants are encouraged to change or wait at their cars or arrive as close to workout start time as possible to reduce congregation time.
- Workout leaders will disseminate workout information in advance using social media or other forms of communication to reduce congregation time.
- High-risk or symptomatic individuals should NOT participate in workouts at this time.
- Please be aware that TCSD can and will be judged by how we appear to the public!
Below is a summary of our current workouts, however please be sure to check the Facebook links provided for the most up-to-date information until our new website is launched! Please note, larger club gatherings (meetings, races, socials) are still on-hold at this time.
