News and Press

Now that racing has started back up (anyone got a FALL race by any chance?!), click HERE for TCSD's handy race day checklist.

We will be moivng the many years of Craig Zelent's TCSD Converations section of our newsletter to this area.  We will announce to the Members when it's been completed.

TCSD is happy to announce that our weekly workouts will be officially re-starting the week of March 15, 2021!  With that being said, we would like to stress that the following guidelines are still in place and some workouts have additional ones that MUST be followed!

  • Workout participants are required to wear and use adequate face coverings whenever possible as described by current local requirements.
  • Workout participants are encouraged to maintain physical distancing requirements (aka 6 feet or greater) whenever possible.
  • Workout participants may be divided into smaller groups (suggestion 6 or less) if needed to comply with current group size requirements.
  • Workout participants are encouraged to change or wait at their cars or arrive as close to workout start time as possible to reduce congregation time.
  • Workout leaders will disseminate workout information in advance using social media or other forms of communication to reduce congregation time.
  • High-risk or symptomatic individuals should NOT participate in workouts at this time.
  • Please be aware that TCSD can and will be judged by how we appear to the public!

Below is a summary of our current workouts, however please be sure to check the Facebook links provided for the most up-to-date information until our new website is launched!  Please note, larger club gatherings (meetings, races, socials) are still on-hold at this time.

I had the pleasure recently of talking triathlon with TCSD member Diane Ridgway. Diane has accomplished a lot in her endurance career from ultramarathons to Ironman. Diane recently won her age group at Ironman Wisconsin and is already qualified to race Ironman Hawaii in 2018. I know you will enjoy getting to know Diane.

Hiro Iwamoto and his guide Rich Anderson at Miyakojima Strongman

I had the pleasure recently of talking triathlon with TCSD member Hiro Iwamoto. Hiro has led an amazing life. His story is sure to inspire you when you face your next challenge. I am so glad I had the chance to get to know him and I know you will feel the same way once you hear his story.

I had the real pleasure of talking triathlon with Ian Kelly. Not only did I get to know this great guy in the process, but I learned some funny new words. Among other things, Ian leads the TCSD Beginning Open Water Swim workouts as well as serves as a race referee. I know you’ll enjoy his story.
